Art of Middle Eastern Dance – Tuesdays starting October 16 –
Explore the joy and artistry of Middle Eastern dance in weekly multilevel classes with a masterful instructor/performer. This fall Lynette will strengthen your technique and movement vocabulary, while deepening your understanding of traditional styles and contemporary approaches to Turkish, Arab and fusion dance. Develop confidence in improvisation and dance-making through games, exercises and group dances.
Bellydance Basics – 2 Tuesdays Oct. 2 & 9
An introduction to the fundamentals of bellydance. Join experienced instructor/performer Lynette to learn basic moves and isolations, popular Middle Eastern rhythms, and the joyful essence of Middle Eastern dance. Bellydance provides a gentle total body workout that builds grace, strength, and flexibility – while having fun! Classes take place in the spacious Omtown Studio, and are suitable for a range of ages and abilities. These sessions are designed for beginners or dancers who wish to renew & refresh their basic skills. After these two sessions, beginners will be ready to participate in multi-level classes.
